a little about me

I have been writing all my life, including 25 years as a professional communicator and publishing in multiple non-fiction formats.

I teach and mentor writers at all levels on how to find, shape and share their story.

My book, One Perfect Day, tells the story of my dear friend Veronika Csosz who came to Australia as a refugee after escaping Hungary during the 1956 Hungarian Uprising.

I am the co-creator of several community collaborations designed to amplify the voices of refugees. 56 Faces was exhibited in Australia and Hungary as part of the 2006 worldwide commemorations of the 1956 Hungarian Uprising. Lost Chances is a collaboration between refugee communities and artists to give life to how seeking asylum in Australia impacts families.

I write and consult on all aspects of communication, from strategy, reputation, stakeholder management and engagement through writing and pitching. I have advised organisations across the private, public and NGO sectors, and currently teach writing and communication at RMIT and Monash universities.

I hold a Masters of Research (University of Melbourne, 2024) and a Masters of Communication (RMIT, 2003).

Get in touch if you would like to explore working together or finding a mentor for your writing and publishing projects. I’d love to hear from you.
